#5. Virtual estimates and quotes – Needs to be simple, intuitive, and should quickly turn out a quote that is easy to understand.

#6. Video content and FAQs- one of the easiest ways to increase your value proposition. Can be used on your website on your about page. Should be personal. Add video into a FAQ page. Make it personal and fun! It builds trust really fast.

#7. Word of mouth – icing on the cake. It’s not about who you know, it’s about who knows you. To do this, we become a resource for people. Train your team to help your customer in any way possible. 

#8. Personal Brand – Build your personal brand by getting out into the community and speaking whenever you have a chance. Be known in the right circles. Make referrals for other painters or trades for services you don’t provide.

#9. Remarket to past customers –  a lot of money is left on the table by not keeping a warm list of past customers for repeat business. This ought to comprise a lot of your current business.

Re-establishing connection with past clients

#1. Create helpful email campaigns – low cost. Keep it simple and offer at least one helpful item. Remind people of guarantees like free touch-ups.

#2. Send postcards – send them out at times other than holidays. Send out on project completion anniversaries, or on atypical holidays like valentines day. Be fun, funny, and bring value.
